FortiKey is currently undergoing internal testing with working prototype units designed to safeguard private keys completely offline. Our embedded security team is performing firmware and hardware evaluations to meet Common Criteria and FIPS compliance standards.

Technical Overview
FortiKey is built around an EAL6+ Secure Element chip that isolates all private key operations within a tamper-resistant environment. Keys never leave the chip and cannot be accessed or exported.
The device uses USB-C connectivity for offline signing and communication with companion desktop or mobile software. No Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or cloud interaction is required, ensuring a fully air-gapped setup.
Supported cryptographic standards include SHA-256, ECDSA, and Ed25519, providing compatibility with Bitcoin, Ethereum, Polygon, and other EVM-based chains. NFT and multi-chain support will be introduced through future firmware updates.
Firmware images are signed and reproducible. Verification tools will be published before public release to maintain transparency and trust.
